Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! is the fifth entry in the Leisure Suit Larry series of graphical adventure games published by Sierra Entertainment. Leisure Suit Larry 6: Shape Up or Slip Out! A second, high-definition remake/reboot, titled Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded, was developed by N-Fusion Interactive working with series' creator Al Lowe and published by Replay Games in 2013.

Sierra developed and published a remake that used the Sierra's Creative Interpreter (SCI) engine with 256 colors and a point-and-click, icon-driven (as opposed to text-based) user interface, released for the PC DOS, Apple Macintosh, and Amiga in 1991.

The story and basic structure of the game are lifted from Softporn Adventure, a 1981 Apple II text adventure.Дespite a lack of advertising, the game was a sleeper hit and a commercial and critical success. Land of the Lounge Lizards establishes several elements which recur in the later Larry games, including Larry's campy attire, perpetual bad luck with women, and penchant for double-entendres. The game's story follows a middle-aged male virgin named Larry Laffer as he desperately tries to ' get lucky' in the fictional American city of Lost Wages. It utilizes the Adventure Game Interpreter (AGI) engine made famous by King's Quest: Quest for the Crown. Originally developed for the PC DOS and the Apple II, it was later ported to other platforms such as the Amiga, Atari ST, Apple II GS, Apple Macintosh, and the Tandy Color Computer 3. Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards is a graphic adventure game originally released in 1987 as the first part of the Leisure Suit Larry series.

A common link between the games are Larry's explorations of luxurious and cosmopolitan hotels, ships, beaches, resorts, and casinos. In general, the games follow the escapades of Larry Laffer as he attempts to convince a variety of nubile women to sleep with him. The series contains the only games produced by Sierra that contain significant sexual themes. The 'Larry' games were one of Sierra's most popular game series during the genre's heyday, when it was first released in the mid-1980s. The series had its origins in Sierra's earlier Softporn Adventure, a 1981 text adventure created by designer Chuck Benton the story and basic structure from that game were reused for the first 'Larry' game. The game play revolves around him attempting, usually unsuccessfully, to seduce attractive women. The games follow Larry Laffer, a balding, double entendre-speaking, leisure suit-wearing man in his 40s. It was published by Sierra from 1987 to 2009, then by Codemasters from 2009. Leisure Suit Larry is an adult-themed video game series created by Al Lowe.
